Albred Leovell Carroll

Albred Carroll was born on September 3, 1976 in Houston Texas (Trinity Garden), to the union of Albred Lee Carroll, and Wanda Faye Baldwin-Carroll. He was raised on faith and belief of Jesus Christ. Leovell accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the tender age of four at Mount Herman Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor RH Stubblefield.

As a young boy, Leovell enjoyed going to Sunday School and he enjoyed the choir singing, especially his mother, grandmother and aunties. Leovell have always had a passion for music. His passion came from his surrounding family. He had eclectic taste for all genres of music. He also loved art. He had a passion for drawing older model vehicles and graphic designs.

During his teenage years, the love of music became the air he breathed. He started writing and rapping at the age of twelve. He would do small performances for his family and friends. You could always find him off to himself writing lyrics. At the age of seventeen, he had his very first professionally produced CD with his cousin, Jimmy Brown aka “popsicle”. They both ended up landing their first music deal in 4-Deep / Wild Boyz. He was so musically inclined; from writing music, to creating his own beats. He was so dedicated and committed, he later created his own music group and record label better known as 44 Boiz, with son, Trevion Carroll, George Western, and producer, Eddie Webb.

Albred was a family man. He and the love of his life were eager to start a family of their own. They got married on September 26, 1998 and had many children; four boys and one girl. A devoted and proud father of Albred, Cornelius, Trevion, Elijah and Mahagonie. He had integrity, steady kindness, and the example he set as a loving father. He taught his children to be strong, work hard, and look out for one another. He was so family-oriented; Albred would always open his home to those in need. He had a big heart and cared for everyone surrounding him.

Leovell’s professional career included 20 years at Paradise Funeral Home. He was a hardworking man. He warmed the hearts of many during his time there - loved by staff and those he met. While having a demanding job, he made sure to make time to be an active father by attending his children’s extracurricular activities. He also found time to do community service around Houston with his music group alongside ARC as well as performances. He is considered an underground legend known as “Big Swiff”.

Albred Carroll departed this world on July 24, 2026, joining his loving parents, Albred Lee Carroll and Wanda Faye Baldwin; grandmother, Willie Mae Plummer; brothers, Alfred Lee Carroll and Dwight Carroll; son, Albred Carroll-Horton; and his grandson, Eugene Amari Fields.

His leaves to cherish his memories; his life partner/best friend, Tita Carroll; siblings, Derrick Carroll, Tramell Carroll, Pritchere Dillard and Dwayne Brown; God siblings, Vanessa Warren, Xanthia Jordan, Lloyd Starghill Jr., Jimmy Brown and Revis Starghill (proceeds him in death); his children, Cornelius Sublette, Trevion Carroll, Elijah Carroll and Mahagonie Carroll; stepdaughter Deja Conway; alongside four Godchildren, ten grandchildren, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
