Alejandra was born in Comodoro Rivadavia, Argentina on October 18, 1975. She is survived by her mother Marta Ester Fabris, father Antonio Fabris (Houston, Texas), and her older brother Andres Oscar Fabris (Dallas, Texas). Alejandra and her family moved the United States, settling in Houston, Texas in early 1976. She attended Elementary and Middle school at Grace Presbyterian Church School, became a Texas Association For the Gifted and Talented scholarship winner, studied at St. Agnes Academy, graduating High School in 1994 and was admitted to the Gulf Coast Mensa chapter in 1995.
Alejandra was a citizen of the world and traveled extensively crisscrossing, not only Europe, but also visiting Turkey, Israel, India, Indonesia, and North, Central and South America. In the States, she attended Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio were she was awarded a full Scholarship; in France, she lived in the Latin Quarter and excelled in her studies of Latin and Philosophy at the Paris IV-Sorbonne; and in Italy, Alejandra graduated “Cum Lude” from the The American University of Rome, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Communication degree.
Fluent in English, French, Italian and Spanish Alejandra was also uniquely skilled as a four-language translator. Linguistically talented, she also spoke conversational Croatian, harkening to her paternal heritage from Korčula and Brač in the Adriatic Sea and was eagerly studying Russian. Her passion for writing drew her to journalism, and as a creative writer she authored a multitude of poems, articles and short stories. In addition, she wrote on international assignments for Human-Nature Alliance/ECOSOC, Geopolitica.ru, and HazteOir.org, Spain. As an activist/speaker, she was passionate about causes ranging from environmental, to human rights, and freedom of religion, and became an Advisor for Intercultural issues representing CitizenGO at the World Congress of Families, United Nations, NY, USA (2014) and at the International Forum “Large Family and Future of Humanity”, Moscow, Russia, (2014).
Throughout her life Alejandra was an avid swimmer and at a height of 6’ she had a slim physique, but a towering presence. She was comfortable both, in front of the camera as a modeling Texas finalist for Seventeen magazine, as well as behind the camera as an accomplished photo-videographer. Alejandra was a beautiful and brilliant multi-faceted visual artist, designer, and multilingual theater actress. She liked to make things, designing and handcrafting her own line of fine jewelry in a variety of mediums.
Along her entire life, Alejandra’s Catholic faith was a vital aspect of her existence having been an avid student of the Scriptures and other religious texts in French, Spanish, Italian and Latin. She constantly took the opportunity to search for and explore tiny chapels and colossal cathedrals attending services at many of them.
