Alethea Haynes Randle

Alethea Haynes Randle was born on December 31, 1956. She departed this earth on March 17, 2025 after a short illness and health issues. She was a fighter who fought the good fight and finished her course.

Alethea attended grade school in the Houston area graduating with honors from Forest Brook High School of the North Forest School District in 1975. In high school she participated in numerous clubs and organizations including the Honor Society. She attended Prairie View A&M University and graduated in 3 years with a BS Degree in Math and Computer Science.

Her passion was teaching. She loved teaching children along with making them mind their manners. She got the greatest thrill from watching her students as they experienced the realization of actually understanding that algebra. She taught in various private schools in the Houston area. She also taught in the Dayton and Galena Park school Districts.

In 1980, she married the love of her life, Wayne Randle. To this union one son was born, Jonathan Randle. Alethea was very committed to her family and went out of her way to ensure that her family was well taken care of. She especially enjoyed working in the yard, keeping the grass mowed and attending to her flowers. She loved her many antiques, especially the ones handed down from family, but she also never missed a chance to go antique shopping. She was very organized and kept everything in her house in order because she felt everything had a place. She despised cooking but wasted no time cooking her specialties, especially for Jonathan.

She leaves to carry on with her legacy Billie Daniels (mother), Wayne (husband), Jonathan (son), Sister, Paula Batiste (Elton), step daughter Kisha Grissom (Daniel) and grandkids Lauryn and Aaron, lifelong friend JoAnn Black and daughter Dakeyra Black, special siblings Roy Tijerina, Yardley Kennedy, Janet Williams, beautiful children: Christy South, Shanena South, Ronda Stephens and a whole host of relatives and friends.

A visitation for Alethea will be held Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at 11:00 AM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A committal service will occur Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at 12:30 PM at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Fwy, Houston, TX 77039.
