Alfred C. Masullo, 94, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2015 in Houston, Texas. He was born on February 12, 1921 to Alfonso and Rose Bertucci Masullo in Manhattan where he spent most of his childhood, the Great Depression and his young adult life. Alfred later lived for more than 40 years in the Bronx prior to moving to Texas to be with his son and family.
Alfred formerly worked for Macy’s and held a float in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade. He also worked for the New York City Transportation Authority performing a variety of duties such as maintaining subway cars.
Alfred had many hobbies some of which included New York Yankees baseball, New York Giants football, playing cards with friends and serving in the Holy Name Society at St. Theresa Catholic Church.
Alfred lost his mother at the age of two and was raised by his loving paternal grandmother in a large family with many siblings. He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandmother; and a host of family and friends. Alfred is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Norma Masullo; his son, Alfred A. Masullo and wife Lorraine; and granddaughter, Lauren J. Masullo.
