

Alfred Benjamin Morrison, 64, of Richmond, Texas, entered into rest on July 20th 2016. Alfred was born in Silsbee, Texas on July 11th 1952. Later in life, Ben proudly served his country, enlisting in the United States Army and was a demolition expert. He was employed by Witco Chemical Company for over 25 years as served as their Fire Chief. He also was a Youth Minister for Mission Bend American Baptist Church.
Ben always loved helping his family and friends. He was a jack of all trades, a talented mechanic and leather worker. He loved playing his guitar and dancing with his wife, twirling and swirling her around. There was a softer side to Ben, as he was his wife's personal beautician and was skilled in making floral arrangements. He was an amazing cook and his specialty was BBQ and smoked brisket. He so loved to cook that he inspired both of his sons to also love cooking and become chefs. Ben loved being outdoors, cutting the yard, and doing house work and was most comfortable in his flip flops and shorts. Over the years he enjoyed traveling to the Bahamas, New Orleans, Piedras Negras, Mexico and Orlando.
Ben is survived by his loving wife of 9 years, Regina Cunningham Morrison, children; Kenneth Morrison and companion Allison Marble, Jimmy Morrison and companion Rebecca West, Rebecca Morrison, Rebecca Bradshaw and husband Jermane, Rhyne Acuff, Corynn Acuff, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, sister Margaret Vest, brother Zachary Spears and wife Gabby, and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 1, 2016 from 9:00am to 11:00am at American Heritage Funeral Home, 101710 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, Texas 77038, Funeral Service to follow at American Heritage Funeral Home Monday, August 1, 2016 at 11:00am. Interment to follow at Houston National Cemetery at 12:30pm.
