1939, in Livingston, Texas. She was the eldest of five children- Mason Dunham, Jr., Thelma
Dunham Pierce, James Dunham, and Edward Dunham. Alice united in marriage to Ira Birden,
and from that union she had two children, daughter, Angela Birden and son, Eric Birden. Alice
worked as an LVN until her retirement from Seven Acres Jewish Geriatric Center after seventeen
years. Alice was a long time member of Greater Galilee Missionary Baptist Church and attended
faithfully until she became ill. Her parents, siblings and son preceded her in death. She leaves to
cherish her memories her daughter, Angela Birden, four grandchildren- Anjanell Birden, Eric
Birden, Jr., Justin Birden (wife- Kala), and Ismel Birden; five great-grandchildren- Ismel Birden,
Jr., Jaliyah Birden, Eli Birden, Ian Birden and Justin Birden, Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews,
great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and special friends.
