

Alicia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Along with raising her children she was a Eucharistic Minister and an avid volunteer for the ill at Rosewood Hospital. She sang in the choir and also volunteered at St. Cecilia Catholic Church. Alicia was also a gifted violinist and artist who left behind many beautiful paintings.
Her family wishes to express special thanks to her caregiver, Carmela Hernandez, who stayed by her side at the hospital and her home during her final days. Carmela showed great kindness to both Alicia and her family.
Alicia was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Jose Oscar Guerra, Sr. and her brother Fidel Perez. She is survived by her four children and their families; son Jose Oscar Guerra, Jr.,(Paz) and their children Christopher Guerra, (Donna), Larissa Guerra Hall, (Raymond), and great granddaughters Mia Guerra and Abigail Hall; daughter Camille Guerra Factor, (Ron), and their children Justin Factor, (Analitza), Canaan Factor, (Bethany), and great grandchildren Benjamin, Carolina, Eva, Canaan, Sloane, and George Major; son H.R. Daniel Guerra, (Cynthia), and their children Marcus Daniel Guerra, (Amy), Leslie Nicole Danielle Guerra, and great granddaughter Lucy Leigh; her son Charles George Guerra; and Alicia’s sister Lucinda P. Sendejo.
Alicia will be greatly missed by her family and by many warm and loving friends, all of whom enriched her life.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Guerra, Justin Factor, Canaan Factor, Marcus Guerra, Raymond Hall, and Deacon Charlie McGee.
Visitation and Rosary will be Wednesday, August 11th from 5-8pm in the Chapel of Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Alicia’s Celebration of Life will be held the following day at 10:00 AM, August 12, 2010, in the Chapel of Memorial Oaks. Interment will follow in Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
