Alicia Maria was born January 12, 1945 in Havana, Cuba. She was a graduate of the Merici Academy. She and Oscar married in 1964 and lived throughout the South before moving to Houston, Texas in 1980. She was a member of St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church in Alief and was very involved in the activities of her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her devoted husband of almost 50 years, Oscar Antonio Moreno, Sr., and four caring children, Oscar Antonio, Jr. (wife Carole Mitterlehner), Alicia Mercedes (husband James Antonio Kahler), Elizabeth Maria (husband David Williston Thompson), and Michael Joseph (wife Jenny Lea Palcic); her sisters, Magali Rubiera Menocal of Coral Gables, Florida, and Josefina Rubiera Dugan (husband John Leonard Dugan) of Russellville, Alabama; her beloved grandchildren, Lauren and Alexandra Moreno, Alina Kahler, David and Isabella Thompson, and Harrison Moreno; her nephews and her extended family and friends.
Alicia was always thinking of others, whether it was with a greeting card on their birthday or anniversary or with a small care package to celebrate a milestone event. She was very special indeed and we will miss her greatly.
