He is survived by his daughter, Melissa, son, Allen III(Trey) and his wife, Sabrina, son, Darrin along with his grandchildren Kristofer, Jared, Cameron and Victoria and her husband, Tino and great granddaughter, Sofia. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was raised in Dallas, Texas where he was a top football recruit. He played at Highland Park high school before attending and graduating from Sewanee military academy in TN., where he was named, all mid-south running back 1953.
He went on to serve and play football in the USMC until 1957.
After honorably serving his country, he moved to Houston where he met his wife, Linda and started their family. He started a career in new home sales in 1969 with Leyendecker Homes and continued selling 45 years for many prominent builders. He was always a top sales award winner with GHBA and SMC.
Allen was a 32-degree Scottish Rite Mason and recently received his 50-year honor. He was a recipient of the "Golden Trowel Award" and served as worshipful master of Gray Lodge 329 from 1976-1977. He was also a 50-year Shriner and member of the Arabia Shrine. He was a devoted family man of utmost integrity who will be loved and missed by all who knew him.
A visitation for Allen will be held Monday, April 18, 2022 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, Texas.
A funeral service will occur Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The graveside service will follow onsite at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
A Celebration of Allen's Life will be following the graveside service at Gray Lodge #329, 2370 Barker Oaks Dr., Houston, TX 77077.
