

Alney (DeDe) Dora Shelton Wright was born August 7th, 1926. She left this world on Good Friday, April 3rd, 2015 to join her beloved husband; Jack Ledford Wright and her sister Marian Virginia Shelton McCorquodale Capen in Heaven.

DeDe and Jack were married August 18, 1946 and were happily serving God together for 66 years.
DeDe was an inspiration to everyone she met with her fun loving and positive spirit.
DeDe and Jack were one of the first five families who founded The Foundry United Methodist church in Jersey Village. DeDe was an active member of the Eastern Star and served faithfully for over 60 years along with Jack. She loved singing in the Foundry church choir and teaching Sunday school. After DeDe attended college at Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX she worked full time for Humble Oil Company (ExxonMobil) for over 35 years. After her career at Exxon, she worked at the reception desk at Foundry Church and enjoyed greeting everyone and working on the Newsletters as well as her work as a Stephen Minister.DeDe and Jack moved from their home in Jersey Village to the Texas Masonic Retirement Center in Arlington, TX in early 2009 where they were cared for faithfully and lovingly by the nurses and staff at the Center.
DeDe is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous loving family members:

Step-grandson: Jeremy Ellerkamp and Step-great-grandson: Jayrett Mason
Step-granddaughter: Charmian Eichelberger and her husband Jon Eichelberger
Step-great-grandchildren: Alessandra Mae Eichelberger and Adeline Charlene Eichelberger.
