OBITUARY
Alonzo Boyd
June 6, 1965 – January 5, 2023

IN THE CARE OF
Lockwood Funeral Home
Alonzo Boyd was born in Houston, Texas on June 2, 1965, to the proud parents, Charlie Boyd Jr. and Loddie Lee Boyd. Alonzo was raised with three brothers, Charles Boyd, Willie Boyd, Larry Boyd, and two sisters, Patricia Boyd and Rosie Omokaro.
In January 2023, Alonzo was called to be with the Lord, as he preceded his parents, older brothers, Charles, Willie and his only daughter, Raquel Marie Glover in death. Alonzo had three grandchildren, Maya, Leanne and Lillie.
Alonzo was known to some as “Lonzo”, “Fly”, “Booley” as well as “Roundtree”. For those who knew Alonzo best knew he was a foodie at heart, and he had a huge, sweet tooth. Alonzo loved to dance, make others laugh, was a joker and had a heart to know how to comfort other when they were in need. He was good at making up sayings. For instance, one of his famous lines was “My heart is like a hotel, because I have room for many”.
Although Alonzo had his faults (as every human does) he had his personal relationship with God. Alonzo truly loved his family and close friends; and the same love was reciprocated to him by his nieces (great nieces), nephews (great-nephews), cousins and dearest friends (Margie Bowie, Rodney McCall and Tonya. He is greatly missed, but memories of him will live in our hearts forever.
