Alton R. Slater, Sr. born January 15, 1926 passed away December 2, 2010. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jeannette R. Slater and son Ronald P. Slater. Alton will be greatly missed by his wife Jane Chancellor Slater; sons, Alton R. Slater, Jr., Clavin D. Slater, Gerald M. Slater and Keith Watlington and wife Marlin; granddaughter, Sheryl Watlington. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm Sunday, December 5th at Brookside Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am Monday, December 6, 2010 at Brookside Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Brookside Memorial Park
