Psalm 121:1-2
Alvin Lee Cole Sr. was born on March 9, 1923 to the late Joseph Cole and Maggie Cole Curtis. At an early age moving from Charlotte, Texas; later to San Antonio, Texas; with a final transition to Houston, Texas.
In Houston, Alvin Sr. worked many years at Hughes Tool and as a carpenter. He united with Christian Home Baptist Church under the late Reverend Tolson and the late Reverend Mitchell Moore. On September 27, 1950, he married Beatrice Joan White. Within their over sixty (60) years union, they were blessed with 6 children.
Becoming ill in late 2019, he left this earthly life on January 9, 2021. He was the “Last Living” Deacon/Trustee on the cornerstone of Christian Home Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. He was a faithful choir member and Sunday school teacher.
He was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws -Willie and Dora White; Aunt- Nettye Ward, wife-Beatrice Cole; sons- Anthony R. Cole, Alton N. Cole and James E. White; sister-Willa Mallory, brother-laws –Eddie White, Robert Dockins, Alexton Mallory, sister-in-laws, Connie Lewis, Edna White, Ida Mae Armstrong, and granddaughter Ashlee M. Henderson.
Alvin Sr. leaves to cherish his memories daughters- Deborah M. Cole and Mary E. Cole Henderson (Jimmy); sons-Alvin L. Cole Jr. and Mark K. Cole; sister-Mildred Dockins, brother-in-law-Robert Caddy (Port Arthur, Texas) and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
