Alvin Carl “Bubba” Winsmann Jr, age 56, passed away on Tuesday August 9th, 2022 at MD Anderson Hospital in Houston, TX. Bubba was a resident of Huntsville, TX and had been battling melanoma for several years. He had become increasing ill over the past month and was incredibly brave and strong until the end.
Bubba was born in Houston, TX on February 20th, 1966 to Alvin and Violet Winsmann. Although he was born with nonverbal autism, Bubba never let that stop him from enjoying life. He loved camping, visiting Galveston Island, Wheel of Fortune, and going out to dinner anywhere was fine with him. Bubba reminded us that time with family, enjoying life’s simple pleasures, is what true happiness is all about. He was our greatest gift from god.
Bubba is survived by his parents Alvin Carl Winsmann Sr. and Violet Jean Winsmann, siblings Curtis Winsmann and wife Audra, sister Jeanette Winsmann and fiancé Gary Miller, uncle Sam Takacs and wife Cindy, niece Jami Horne, nephews Colten Horne and Dante Miller, and countless cousins, all of whom he loved unconditionally.
Bubba will be cremated and his ashes scattered at sea off of Galveston Island. A Memorial Service will be held at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, TX on Saturday August 20th, 2022 at 2:00pm. Come join our family for a celebration of life for a truly special soul. We love you all.
The family would also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the staff at MD Anderson and Tri-County Services for all their help and support through the years.
