He was born on March 6th, 1955, in Tehran, Iran, a son of the late Ashraf and Aziz. Amir came to America at a young age and has been the loving husband of Elham Rafizadeh for 25 years. In 2003, they had a beautiful daughter, Donya V Rad.
Amir worked hard every day to provide for his family. He was a proud business owner and leader of the Iranian community in Houston. He had a laugh that would fill the room and a light that would brighten anyone’s day. His presence and warmth would make those around him feel safe and loved. He had a heart of gold, the strength of a lion, and not a day went by that he didn’t give it his all. Those who knew him would tell you how much he cared for others and how deeply he loved his Persian community. He made the lives of those around him easier through his wisdom and knowledge. He was a man of many talents and deep conviction that allowed him to accomplish anything he set his mind to.
He prided himself on staying healthy, taking care of his family, and being there for others. He believed in opportunity and would help people reach their goals in any way he could through his generosity. Most would have retired by his age, but he was resilient and persevered through all obstacles so that he could continue providing for his family and community.
On top of his hard-working nature, he was a prime example of positivity, and that any dream, goal, or ambition in life can be accomplished through hard work, confidence, and a strong mindset. He had a gravitational pull that would make you feel like you knew him your whole life, and his passing has not only impacted the hearts of those who knew him but also of those who never even met him. Overall, Amir was a loving husband, father, friend, and leader who dedicated his whole life to his work and the betterment of others.
He truly was one of a kind, and his absence will forever leave a shadow in the lives he touched. Amir will always be missed, and may he rest in peace.
