Ammini George

February 1, 1947 – July 15, 2026

Ammini was born on February 1, 1947, in Thumpamon, Kerala, India, to Mani Geevarghese and Mariamma Varghese. She graduated from Medical College Hospital, Nagpur, in 1970, beginning a lifelong calling of caring for others.

On September 30, 1974, she married her beloved husband, George Mathew, beginning a beautiful journey of love, faith, and family. In 1976, they immigrated to the United States, first settling in New York, where they welcomed their daughter, Jessie, in 1977. In 1979, they made Houston, Texas, their home and celebrated the birth of their son, Jason, in 1980.

Ammini devoted her life to serving others, both within her family and through her profession as a registered nurse. Beginning in 1980, she faithfully served the Houston community at Ben Taub Hospital for 30 years. Her compassion, skill, and dedication touched the lives of countless patients, families, and colleagues.

A devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother, Ammini found her greatest joy in her family. She surrounded those she loved with kindness, wisdom, encouragement, and steadfast prayers. Her gentle spirit, generous heart, and quiet strength left a lasting impression on everyone who was blessed to know her.

Ammini was a faithful member of Immanuel Mar Thoma Church, Houston, where she found strength and joy through worship, fellowship, and prayer. Her steadfast faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of her life and a living testimony that inspired all who knew her.

Mrs. Ammini George entered into the presence of the Lord on July 15, 2026, at the age of 79. She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, George Mathew; her daughter, Jessie George, and son-in-law, Vivekanand Shetti; her son, Jason George, and daughter-in-law, Monica George; her beloved grandchildren, Sara, Ethan, Rowen, and Ajay; her loving brother, Kunjumon; her loving sister, Kunjumole; and many extended family members, dear friends, and members of her church community who will deeply miss her. Her legacy of faith, love, compassion, and selfless service will continue to live on in the hearts of all whose lives she touched.

Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in God's promises and give thanks for the beautiful life Ammini lived. We rejoice in the hope of eternal life and the assurance that she is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior.

Ammini George, born February 1, 1947, passed on July 15, 2026, at the age of 79. She was a resident of Missouri City, Texas.

A Funeral Service will take place at Immanuel Mar Thoma Church, 12803 Sugar Ridge Blvd, Stafford, TX 77477, US, on July 25, 2026, at 9:00 am.

A Committal Service will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077, US, on July 25, 2026, at 11:30 am.
