An Ba Do

December 25, 1951 – August 10, 2026

An Ba (“Louis”) Do, 74, of Katy, Texas, passed away on August 10, 2026.

Born in Vietnam on Christmas Day in 1951, An served in the Vietnamese Air Force (VNAF) in alliance with the United States. After immigrating to the United States in 1992, he worked tirelessly in many different roles to build a better life and provide for his family—a reflection of the strong work ethic and determination that defined him throughout his life.

An was a soft-spoken family man with a wonderful sense of humor and a special way of teasing the children he so dearly adored. He loved good food, tending to his garden, and giving discarded and broken things a second life, firmly believing that one man’s trash was another man’s treasure.

He shared approximately 40 years of marriage with his wife, Thuy Nga Nguyen, and leaves behind two children, three stepchildren, and many beloved grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

An built his life through hard work, perseverance, and devotion to his family. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

A Committal Service will be held at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077, US, on August 26, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm.
