

We are sad to announce that Ana (Anita) Sanchez, age 85, of Houston, Texas passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022. She was born in Zacatecas, Mexico on August 2, 1937 to parents Jesus Llamas and Emilia Bañuelos. Anita met Jose Sanchez in San Isidro Zacatecas Mexico and married him on September 21, 1963. She was a stay at home wife, mom and friend to all she welcomed into her home. Anita was a member of San John Catholic Church where for many years she sang with the choir. Anita loved her brothers, sister and their families, adored her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed planting and growing her garden, and spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of nearly 60 years, Jose Sanchez; father Jesus Llamas; mother Emilia Banuels; sisters Maria del Refugio Olague, Maria de Jesus Flores, and Rita de Leon.
Anita is survived by her daughters: Maria Sanchez, Arcelia Sanchez, and Emilia Sanchez. Sons: Jose Sanchez (Francisca Sanchez), Miguel Sanchez (Norma Sanchez), Pablo Sanchez and Melchor Sanchez (Sarah Sanchez. Siblings: Remigio Llamas, Pablo Llamas, Jose Maria Llamas, Teresa Atilano, Felicitas Rodriguez, Susana Famanias, Maria Guadalupe Llamas. Grandchildren: Ulises & Nicole Loera, Kathia & J. Carlos Minjarez, Alexandro & Tabitha Sanchez, Adrian & Nadia Malik Sanchez, Jessica & Horacio Rodriguez, Andrew Sanchez, Alonzo Sanchez, Cristian E. Sanchez, Noah Sanchez, Sebastian Tovias, Diego A Loera, Juanjose Matthew Sanchez, Jeremy T. Sanchez, Myranda S. Sanchez, Michael D. Sanchez, Jacob Sanchez, Olivia Sanchez, Hannah Sanchez, Benjamin Sanchez & William Sanchez. Great grandchildren: Samuel, Nathaniel, Izabella, Jayden, Natalie, Melanie, Aizen, Sofia, Aydin, and Horacio Adriel.

A visitation for Ana will be held Monday, January 9, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
A funeral service will occur Tuesday, January 10, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Assumption Catholic Church, 901 Roselane St, Houston, TX 77037.
A graveside service to follow the funeral service on January 10, 2023 at Brookside Memorial Park.
