“Merceditas” was born in the “City of Parks”, Bucaramanga (Colombia) in 1924. She is the daughter of the late Jose Maria Caycedo and Sara Torres. She was the 3rd of 6 children. She is survived by her 5 children, Jairo Cifuentes, Myriam Cifuentes Smith, Hernando “Tito” Cifuentes, Ivan R. Cifuentes and Patricia Green. She also leaves behind, 18 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Our mother touched the lives of many people with her smile, love and generosity. In loving memory of her, we would love to have your presence, blessings and prayers at her life’s farewell celebration to be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077.
