Ana R. Zapata

Ana Rodriguez Zapata, born September 21, 1954, went to be with the Lord on November 21, 2018 at the age of 64 years. Originally from Ponce, Puerto Rico, Ana made Katy, Texas her home. She met and married the love of her life, Jose L Zapata, on November 23, 1990.

Other than spending time with her family, Ana loved playing Bingo, playing casino games, and attending the soft ball tournaments, where she sold custom t-shirts for MVP Sport. She loved interacting with the teams and coaches. Ana’s constant joking will be missed by all.

Ana was preceded in death by her daughter, Damarus Padilla, her sister, Yolanda Quiles and her brother-in-law, Pedro Cumba. Left to cherish her memory, are her husband of 34 years, Jose L. Zapata; sons, David Padilla; (spouse Mary Cantu) and Daniel Padilla (spouse Celina Padilla); daughter, Analyce M. Zapata-McPhee (spouse Jasmine N. Zapata-McPhee); grandchildren, Priscilla J., Daniel J., and Marcus D. Padilla; siblings Kenia Cumba and Maria Valentine; aunt Luz Lopez; numerous nieces and nephews and the softball community whom she loved dearly.

Visitation and gathering for Ana, will be in the Memorial Oaks Event Center on Sunday, November 25, 2018 from 3-7 PM. Words of remembrances will begin at 5:30 PM.


