Anderson “Frank” Cruse passed away at his residence on Friday, January 7, 2022 after a brief illness. He was born on April 7, 1937 in Lufkin, Texas to Anderson Franklin Cruse II and Sybil Cruse. He moved to Houston in early childhood and lived in the Houston area the remainder of his life. Frank was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Claudean, his parents, and his infant children, Patricia Ann and Don Adams.
He is survived by his sister Ann Atkinson, sister-in-law Kelley Welch and husband John, three children; Anderson Cruse IV and wife JoAnne, Keith Cruse and wife Cherise, and Derissa Cruse Jones; and his beloved grandchildren Jennifer Hardwick and husband Ben, Lindsey Rockhold and husband Michael, Taylor Cruse, Madison Burnett and husband Dustin, Mason Cruse, Anderson Cruse V, Alyssa Jones,Kayla Jones and eight great-grandchildren; Caleb, Matthew, Sarah, David, James, William, Isaac and Emma. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and special friends. Frank loved camping and fishing, was an active member of his church and spent his retirement years travelling the US in a motorhome with his wife while taking the time to help build churches across the state. Frank was a loving and devoted husband, a wonderful father and an even more wonderful grandfather. He was kind, a friend to all and strong in his faith. He will be deeply missed.
The funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, January 13 at 11:00 am with visitation preceding at 10:00 am. The service and visitation will be held at Crossroads Fellowship Church located at 12110 East Sam Houston Parkway North, Houston, Texas.
