It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Andrew Webb Day, 67. On August 19, 2020, Andrew passed away peacefully, while surrounded by family, due to complications resulting from a heart attack. The youngest of three sons, Andrew was born in Shreveport, Louisiana to Phillip and Lucille (Webb) Day in 1952. On October 16th, 1976, he married Brigitte Rhinehart, and together they had three sons.
Andrew was an Army veteran and a proud graduate of Texas A&M University. He was a selfless man who was devoted to his family, and he created many special memories for his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed the outdoors, reading, and a good barbecue or crawfish boil. He shared his love of sports with his sons who have fond memories of watching games together. He was a lifelong Aggie football and Houston sports fan, an affliction that was unfortunately passed to his children. Once he became a grandfather, "Papa" spent his summers with his grandchildren camping along the Frio River and helping build sandcastles at the beach. More than anything, Andrew enjoyed spending time with his family.
Andrew will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 44 years, Brigitte (Rhinehart) Day; his sons, Andrew Jr, Christopher, and Matthew; his grandchildren, Shawn and Jordan; his brothers Phillip Jr and John; and numerous other family members and friends. Andrew was preceded in death by his father, Phillip, and his mother, Lucille (Webb) Day.
His tireless love and devotion to his family will be remembered. A memorial service will be held at American Heritage Funeral Home on September 25, 2020.
