Mama, the last ten years have been an adventure. I am so happy to have shared with you the many parties, nail and hair salon appointments, crocheting and cross stitching, dinners and trips to Galveston, Texas; Lake Charles, Louisiana; Surfside, Texas & Seaside, Florida. I had you for sixty two years and it is now your time to be back together with Daddy and Barbara.

With love from your baby girl, Diane

Angela, Memaw , Perkins. was one of my favorite people. She always greeted me with something funny to say. She had a warm smile and I always enjoyed the visits we had. I especially remember at one of her Grandchildren's wedding receptions she had Diane bring her over to sit and talk to me. She will be very missed. I urge all of you to take time to listen to your elders. Rest in Peace Dear Angela.

Esther Del Toro

November 26, 2019

Myself, Esther Del Toro, and Benjamin Del Toro have been next-door-neighbors to Memaw and Ken and Diane McAlpine for more than 17 years. Benjamin and I witnessed the transitions that their family went through as Memaw came into the family and grew and aged. It was very rewarding to be a witness as to the grace, patience, kindness and efforts, taken on all parts, to achieve one of the most balanced and loving families we have had the pleasure to ever experience.

Memaw was very generous in her manner of being. Her company and conversation made you feel that your time spent with her was her number one priority every time we visited.

Benjamin and I would like to leave our condolences to all of the varied and extensive family. We will be praying for all to be able to gather strength and comfort through this time of difficulty.

Mrs. Perkins a delightful lady that I met at Homewood Suites, while she was staying there. I did not know her long, but seeing her come in the hotel made me smile. I was used to seeing her and would always look forward to seeing her on Sundays when I worked. Thank you "Mom Perkins "for enjoying my baking...you were the first to tell me my chocolate chip cookies were good. You will definitely be missed. My condolences go out to the family. Praying for you alls strength and comfort in this difficult time.
