She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur LaVerne Bishop. They were married on June 16, 1956. Survivors include her two daughters, Janya Bishop and Jeanie Myers, daughter-in-law, Beth Bishop and son-in-law, Joe Myers, all of Houston. She is also survived by her brother, Charles Bratz and wife Diane Bratz of Elkhart and sister, Janis Frantzen of The Woodlands, as well as her nieces and nephews. Anita Jean was well loved by her family and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Pilgrim Cemetery in Elkhart, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or Multiple Sclerosis Society.
