Anita Karola (Heinisch) Mott, loving mother and grandmother, of Houston, Texas passed away peacefully at home to be with the Lord while surrounded by loved ones at the age of 74. Anita was born February 15, 1947 in Augsburg, Bavaria, Germany nine months after her parents found each other again in a refugee camp after the end of World War II. Anita's birth was the symbol of love, hope, and faith that would prove her life's purpose. In her late teens, Anita followed her heart, and left her home of Germany to begin a new life in Texas. After traveling the world and working overseas, she returned to Houston. Regardless of where in the world Anita was, she always brought her light and loving hugs, spreading kindness and warm, unconditional care.
Anita shared much love and many special moments with her family, particularly with her daughters and four grandchildren. Anita loved to decorate and enjoyed pretty spaces and great food that brought people together. Anita leaves profound impacts on countless lives, as well as many organized closets and spaces to bring joy and peaceful surroundings.
Anita was an active member of Glorious Way Church, and she loved her church community dearly. Although Anita found her call to faith later in life, she leaned into it daily - embodying it and sharing it, which inspired others to also love and trust God with fierce devotion and prayer.
Anita is survived by her daughters, Paula (Pam) Mott and Karen (Kim) Leal, grandchildren, Kristina Leal, Rene' Leal, Ryan Leal, and Katia Leal.
Anita is preceded in death by her parents, Erwin and Elfriede Heinisch, and all her siblings, including Wolfgang Heinisch, and Peter and wife Gabi Heinisch.
Funeral Services will be held at Brookside Funeral Home - Champions, 3410 Cypress Creek Pkwy, Houston, TX 77068 on Saturday, November 20th, 1-4pm. Service will begin at 2:00pm, following the gathering. As this is a celebration of Anita's life and faith, she requested no black attire.
For the protection and consideration of our family and friends, masks are required.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.brooksidechampions.com for the Mott family.
