Ann Abdo Eutsler, born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania on the 10th of November 1932, died peacefully on Thursday, the 19th of June 2025. She was 92 years of age. Ann was the only child of Edward Nicholas Abdo and Helen Katherine Huntemann Abdo. Ann became a long-time Houston resident, moving to Texas with her parents at an early age.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eugene Ernest (Ernie) Eutsler; brother-in-law, Keith Eutsler and his wife Nell Eutsler; nephew, Stuart K. Eutsler; grandson, John R. Browne, III; beloved cousins, Susan Marjorie Huntemann, and George Huntemann; sister-in-law, Bertha Eutsler Wooten; and dearest friend, Barbara Chiles.
Ann graduated from Rice University (formerly Rice Institute) in 1954 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Ann was a lifelong member of St. Luke’s Methodist Church. She was also a member of River Oaks Garden Club and Houston Country Club. She enjoyed volunteering in the community, including serving on the boards of DePelchin Children’s Center, Holly Hall, and AWARE.
After Ernie’s untimely stroke in 1972, she became focused on continuing his business, Eutsler Technical Products, Inc. The family offers their special appreciation to the employees of Eutsler Technical Products, Inc., especially the Borski family, who in many ways became part of Ann’s extended family.
Left to cherish her memory are children, Robert Weston Eutsler and his wife Michelle Mizwa Eutsler, Carolyn Eutsler Hanna and her husband Richard "Rick" Hanna; grandchildren, Lindsay Hanna Smith and her husband Cole Smith, James “Jay” Hanna and his wife Nikki Hanna, Robert Bartlett Eutsler, Baird Weston Eutsler, Mary Elizabeth Browne Attwood and her husband Adam Lee Attwood; great-grandchildren, Shepherd Smith, Caroline Smith, Lennon Hanna, Emma Attwood, and Isla Attwood; nieces, Laura Arney and her husband Jon Arney, Sally Shepherd and Edith Shepherd; nephew, Daniel Shepherd and his wife Carolyn Shepherd; and very special friends, Gail A. Bartlett, Bill Chiles and his wife Wendy Chiles, Lois Chiles, and Vickie Sorrell.
Being an only child, Ann especially treasured the family and friends that blessed her life through the years, along with her precious little dogs, Puddin and Sassy, both of whom gave her years of joy.
The family is grateful for the kindness, companionship and compassionate care given to Ann by her longtime friend Ramona Torres Benavides, and caregivers Mashelle Thompson and Angie Garcia.
A memorial service is to be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, the 1st of July, at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 3471 Westheimer Road in Houston, where the Rev. Ryan Trushenski is to officiate. For those unable to attend, virtual attendance may be obtained by selecting the “Join Livestream” icon in the “Services” section below.
Immediately following all are invited to greet the family during a reception to be held in nearby Hines Baker Room.
Prior to the service the family will have gathered for a private entombment at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery in Houston.
