Ann met Don Scruggs in Houston, Texas, and they were married on July 19, 1957. A devoted housewife, Ann’s life was marked by steady care for those she loved, and by the quiet strength of a woman who placed family at the center of all she did. She was a member of Eastern Stars and found deep enjoyment in the simple, meaningful pleasures of life—especially time with her family, baking, and traveling.
Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Don Scruggs; grandsons, Jeremy McNeely and Jeremy Walker; parents, Jewel and Lillie Mae Reynolds; along with loving brothers and sisters.
Ann is survived by her children, Jimmy Scruggs, Rocky Blackburn, Ricky Scruggs, Donna Collins, Cindy Fulcher (Robert), and Sue McNeely (Sammy); 15 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; along with many nephews and nieces and other loving family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Brookside Funeral Home, Grand Oak Chapel, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039, on May 11, 2026, from 9:30 am to 11:00 am. A Celebration of Life will follow at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039, on May 11, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. A Committal Service will take place at Memorial Rest Garden, 12901 FM 2025, Cleveland, Texas 77328, on May 11, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
Officiating will be Junior Kirkland.
Pallbearers will be Mike Dragna, Dylan Fulcher, Chay Blackburn, Travis Blackburn, Chris McNeely, and Casey McNeely. Honorary pallbearers will be Jaydn McNeely, Kadeyn Walker, and Logyn McNeely.
