After a short, but courageous battle with stomach cancer, Anna was called to be with Our Lord on April 5, 2016, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 51. She leaves behind her husband John; her son, Peter, wife Christina and granddaughter Anna; her son Chris; her daughter, Nina; her brother Steve Bouboudakis and family; and sister Despina Kavourgias and family.
Anna was born on May 23, 1964 in Chios, Greece, daughter of John and Eugenia Bouboudakis, who predeceased her. She grew up in a loving Greek home in Brooklyn, New York, where she was married in January 1983. In 1985, Anna and John moved to Houston, Texas, where they raised their family, and together started their businesses. Anna instilled basic fundamentals of love, compassion, respect for others, and a diligent and tenacious work ethic to her children. She placed great emphasis on family morals, which would assure peace and unity as well.
She also made sure that her children identified with their Hellenic heritage, and passed down all traditions and values that were associated with their Greek roots. She was a person who led by example due to her strong character, and her loving, warm personality. Anna led a religious life in the Greek Orthodox Church, which assured those same Christian values for her family. She obeyed our Lord's greatest commandment, which was to love one another, and exemplified that by putting others' needs first, rather than hers. Her family and many others will surely feel her absence in this worldly life, but her presence in the true, everlasting life has caused great joy and happiness amongst the worthy, in the heavenly skies.
