Anna Margaret Bellows

Margaret was a sunburst of Joy. She loved family, friends, pets--anyone and everyone everywhere, even if she and they had never crossed paths. She was smart and tenacious and bold. She loved her sports, especially Field Hockey, Soccer, and Basketball. And she brought joy wherever she went: she was, as Efi called her, Pura Alegria, pure joy.

We will miss hugs that were a bit too tight, laughter that was a bit too loud, and “five more minutes” at bedtime. But we celebrate what we were given, not mourn what we don’t get to see.

Margaret was truly a gift. She lived 100 years in fewer than 9. She loved it all, and she was so easy to love.

Margaret was born on the 27th of October 2016, to Patricia Harris Bellows and Warren Sylvanus Bellows IV.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister, Mary Elizabeth Bellows; by her grandparents, Richard and Kathleen Harris, and Warren and Ruth Bellows; by her aunt, Elizabeth Bellows Brockman and her husband Robert; by her cousins, James Maxwell, and Julia May Brockman; and countless others whom she loved so dearly.

For all events celebrating Margaret, we would love to see bright colors and smiling faces.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from four o’clock in the afternoon until six o’clock in the evening on Sunday, the 13th of July, in the library and grand foyer of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.

The Mass of Christian Burial is to be celebrated at half-past ten o’clock in the morning on Monday, the 14th of July, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 6800 Buffalo Speedway in Houston.

Immediately following, the family will gather for a private Rite of Committal.
