On February 20, 2021, Annette Schwab, beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother left us to join the Lord.
Annette was born to parents Michael and Josephine Jamail, in Houston, Texas on July 12, 1934. Growing up a child of the depression, in a house without indoor plumbing, and one of four siblings; she quickly learned the value of hard work and the virtue of toughness.
She was a fastidious note taker and this served her well in her long career as a expert legal secretary, who could type 90 words per minute. She first began at a small local law office and later worked with the prestigious law firm, Vinson & Elkins, before her retirement in 1992.
Her hard working nature was matched only by her kindness and compassion for her family. Her world revolved around making sure her daughter, grandson, granddaughter in law, and great grandson were happy and healthy.
Among her favorite activities were, eating Kibbeh and other Lebanese food, watching Tiger Woods play golf, spending time with her family, shopping, checking the stock market, and playing scratch offs. She loved to hear her great grandson refer to her by her only know alias, Nana.
Nana is loved and will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her mother Josephine, father Michael, brother David, and sister Esther Bofysil. She is survived by her daughter Susan Walker, grandson Roger Walker and his wife Catherine, great - grandsons Anthony and Theodore, brother Donald Jamail and his wife Joann, nieces Sherry and her husband Dr. Chris Angelo, Georgia and her husband, Guy Graugnard, Marian and her husband Luis Garza, nephew Michael Jamail and his wife Helen, great nephew Christopher Angelo, Jr., great niece Gigi Graugnard, great nephew Allen Jamail and his wife Tracey, great niece Marie Jamail, as well as numerous cousins.
