He was a proud graduate of Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, Pennsylvania. After serving in the U.S. Army, Tony’s professional career in the medical services field took him all over the U.S. before settling in Houston in 1975. Tony enjoyed learning to speak Italian later in life. He loved travel (especially to Italy), dogs, cooking, great food and wine, the Houston Symphony Orchestra, Pittsburgh Steeler football, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Tony was preceded in death by his father Anthony, his mother Cathryn, brothers Louis and Kenneth, brother-in-law Michael Lazaran, sister-in-law Jeanne Franty, and Matasen Linson. He is survived by daughter Elysia Linson, son Trip Franty, son-in-law Mathew Linson, daughter-in-law Wendy Franty, grandchildren A.J. Franty IV (“AJ”), Eleanor Louise Linson, and M’Lehne and Keen Linson, sister Loretta Lazaran, sister and brother-in-law Harry and RoseAnn Joseph, brother and sister-in-law Lawrence and Stephanie Franty, as well as many nieces and nephews who he loved very much.
