Anthony Romeo Jr., age 87, passed peacefully September 24, 2010, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 12, 1923 in Houston, Texas to Rose and Tony Romeo, Sr. He served in the Army during WWII and received the Purple Heart and Silver Star for Valor. He was a long standing member of the Sacred Heart Society.
Anthony was preceded in death by his spouse of 42 years, Thelma Romeo. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Mary Ann Romeo; daughter Therese Pallis; sons Charles and wife Renee Romeo and Edward and wife Cindy Romeo; stepchildren Mary and husband Tim McKenna, Sam and wife Linda Danna, Johnny and wife Rhea Danna, Dr. Marion Danna; grandchildren Elena Pallis, Alexandra Pallis, Michael Davis, John and wife Rachel Davis, Kimberly and husband Ryan Roth, Kristen and husband Tim Dosch, Michael McKenna, Kathleen McKenna, David Danna, Kenneth Danna, John Danna and Joseph Danna; great-grandchildren, Isabella Lopez, Anthony Pallis, Nathan Davis, Bridget Roth, Sam Roth and Aiden Danna; his two sisters Lena and husband Michael Bua, and Josephine Rao; and sister-in-law Bernice Romeo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5 until 8 PM on Monday, September 27, 2010 in the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX with a Rosary to be recited at 7 PM. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 3600 Brinkman Street, Houston, TX. A graveside service and committal will immediately follow in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
The Family desires to express their deepest Appreciation and gratitude to Dr Joel Abramowitz and the entire staff from the Memorial Herman Oncology Department. Also the family wishes to offer their heartfelt thanks to Vitas Hospice and all their wonderful nurses and aids. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
