Antonio Mendez, 79, entered into eternal rest on September 18, 2025, in Houston, Texas. Born on October 15, 1945, in Guanajuato, Mexico, to SanJuana and Zenaido Mendez, Antonio lived a life full of love, laughter, and devotion to family.

Antonio’s greatest joy was spending time with his loved ones. Whether gathered around for his beloved “carne asadas” or cheering on the Houston Astros, he brought warmth, humor, and togetherness to every moment. His vibrant spirit and steady presence created memories that will be cherished for generations.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Elvira Mendez; his children and their spouses, Macarena, Mark, SanJuana (Jose), Carlos (Jenese), Brenda, and Celeste (Francisco); his grandchildren and their spouses, Samuel, Carlos, Ernesto, Mariah, Mark, Amanda (Alfredo), Valerie (Miguel), Jose, Destiny, Christopher, Mya, Albert, Alfonso, and Francisco (Erika); and his great-grandchildren, Eliana, Isabella, Julian, Miguel, Sophia, Jose, Fabian, and Abigail. Antonio also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will forever treasure his memory.

Antonio’s legacy is one of love, strength, and unity. His family and friends will carry forward his traditions, his passion for life, and his unwavering dedication to those he cared for most. He will be remembered always, not only in stories and gatherings but in the love he instilled in everyone around him.
