Aquiles Merlos Sr.

Aquiles Merlos Sr. went home to be with the Lord on 10/31/2015. He was 52 years old. Aquiles was born May 6, 1963. He was the youngest of two children born to parents Hernan Merlos and Maria Emma Merlos de Cedillos in San Miguel, El Salvador CA. In 1980, he married the love of his life, Sonia M Merlos. In the 35 years they were married, they created a beautiful life together with 3 children.

Aquiles was everyone's friend. He was always positive and looked for the best in life even in bad situations. He worked hard and honest. He started at Koby Motors sweeping the shop in 1984, that he later went on to own with his best friend and brother Jose L. Ayala Sr. He worked hard towards the American dream and taught his children to do the same. Aquiles, left behind a legacy of knowledge to everyone he ever met. He always made everyone feel better and always gave great advice.

Aquiles leaves behind his loving wife of 35 years, Sonia Margarita Merlos, their three children; Erick F. Amaya, Emma Carolina Merlos, and Aquiles Merlos, Jr., three grandchildren; Christa Victoria Amaya, Mia Annalise Amaya, and Erick Daniel Amaya, his parents; Hernan Merlos and Maria Emma Cedillos, and his sister, Emma Carolina Merlos.

He was not only a great son, husband, father, and grandfather, but he was an overall extraordinary human being. Heaven has gained an angel.
