

Arden Dorothy Rogerson Sauvé, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on November 14, 2016, her 86th birthday. Arden was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, on November 14, 1930, to Harling and Dorothy Rogerson. Her parents and nephew preceded her in death, as did her beloved husband of 57 years, Joe.Arden is survived by her children, Joanne Sauvé Polansky, Sharon Sauvé High, Douglas Sauvé, Janice Sauvé and Kathleen Sauvé; sons-in-law Neil Polansky and Harper High, and daughter-in-law Dee. Her five grandchildren and great granddaughter were the joys of her life: William Polansky and his wife and daughter, Layna and Lily, Samantha Sauvé and her partner John Jenkins, David Polansky and his wife, Mary, Kyle Polansky and Zachary High. Her sisters and brothers-in-law, Marilyn and Ted Underhill, and Barb and Bryan Sharpe, her brother and sister-in law, Bill and Lynda Rogerson, and sisters-in-law Mari Dean and Lauretta Howard, also survive Arden, in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.Arden spent her early years in Canada, and then many years moving throughout the U.S. and South and Central America when Joe worked for Esso and Exxon. Following his retirement, they also lived in Bradford, Pennsylvania, and Raleigh, North Carolina, before returning to Houston. Her greatest gifts were making every house a home and fostering a love of family. She left a stamp on our hearts that will never be forgotten. A celebration of Arden's life will be held on Wednesday, November 23rd at 10:30 a.m. at Church of the Holy Apostles, 1225 W. Grand Parkway South, Katy, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association , Church of the Holy Apostles or the Houston SPCA. The family extends their gratitude for their kindness and grace to beloved friends, Robert Fabrize, and Lee and Karen Stranathan, and a special thank you to her caregivers: Patti, Sabrina, Amanda, Catherine, Caroline, Danna, Debbie, Demetra, Kayleigh and Tia.
