Arnold Eugene Broussard was born on May 20, 1956 to Eugene and Edna Marie (Daigle) Broussard in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He passed away on April 6, 2024, in Houston, Texas. He was 67 years old. Arnold was a graduate from Aldine High School, class of 1976.
He was the oldest of four children, while he never married he took much pride and joy in the lives of his nieces and nephews and his great nieces and nephews.
Prior to retirement, Arnold worked as a hot shot driver for Victory Transportation Services and was previously a member of the Labor Union. Arnold’s passions were found in the simple things in life. He loved tending to his chickens and cats, nurturing his many plants, painting, good food and all things Cajun.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Edna Broussard.
He is survived by his brother and sister in law, Anthony and Marie Broussard; his sister and brother in law, Angela and Herbert Bracknell; sister and brother in law, Allene and Eric Lacy; 9 nieces and nephews; and 17 great nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers are Anthony Broussard II, Matthew Broussard, Paul Broussard, Edward Bracknell, Brandon Lacy and Jonathan Lacy.
A viewing for Arnold will be held at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston TX 77039 on Thursday, April 11,2024 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Funeral service will be on Friday, April 12 at 2:30 pm in the Family Chapel at Brookside. Burial will follow at Brookside Memorial Park.
