Arnold Lee Rhodes

Arnold Lee Rhodes, 89, most recently of Tomball, Texas (and previously of Montgomery, Texas) passed away on February 5, 2017. He was born to Harry W. Rhodes and Nancy Hamilton Rhodes on October 18, 1927. Arnold joined the Navy in 1945, sailing on the Token through 1947. He married Martha Warner on April 1, 1951. Arnold went to work for Texaco, Inc. in Houston, Texas, in the early 1950s where he worked until he retired in 1982. Arnold moved to the Tomball Retirement Center after Martha’s death in January 2015. He was also preceded in death by his youngest son, Jeff, in December 2011.

Arnold is survived by his sons: David Rhodes, Allen Rhodes and wife, Carla, and Howard Rhodes and wife,Lena; and his daughters: Karen Mays and husband, Richard, Janice Barfield and husband, Nelson, LeaAnn Tomlinson and husband, Wayne. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Joe Mays, Kara DeVries, Holli Young, Philip Barfield, Amanda Rhodes, Lee’Ah Joseph, Chelsea Schwartz, Preston Pope and Natalee Tomlinson and 15 great-grandchildren (so far).

All friends who came to the Rhodes home were treated like family.
