

Arthur attended San Jacinto High School and, in 1970, answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps at the age of 18. He served honorably and attained the rank of Lance Corporal. During his military service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal with one star.
Arthur is survived by his children: Arthur, Joseph, April, Abigail, Sara, and Angelica; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his siblings: Armando, Fred, Mary, Patricia, Cynthia, Robert, Felipe, Jon Edward, Maria Elena, Joe Jr., and Joel. He was preceded in death by his parents Jose Castillo & Lydia Meza; his sister, Debra Meza; and his beloved companion, Nancy, whom he dearly loved.
Arthur will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. May the Lord receive him into His loving arms and grant him eternal rest.
Visitation and Rosary services will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo Navigation, located at 2516 Navigation Blvd., Houston, Texas 77003. Visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with the Rosary commencing promptly at 7:00 p.m.
A final visitation will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by remarks from family members prior to departure for the Houston National Cemetery. Interment will take place at 1:30 p.m.
Please note that an escorted funeral procession will not be provided.
Due to cemetery guidelines, the family respectfully requests that anyone arriving after the graveside service has begun remain on the service road or in their vehicles until the conclusion of the service, in order to avoid disruptions.
