Mr. Arthur Espinoza Salazar, age 71, of Houston, Texas passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023. A man with a charitable heart who loved his family and whose nieces and nephews called their second "dad". He loved the Astros, the Rockets and the U of H Cougars. In his youth he was an avid basketball player. Also, a member of the YMCA. He was a dedicated employee of the City of Houston for 29 years from where he advanced to Sr. Regulatory Investigator. Arthur will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Arthur is survived by his brother George Hermosillo Jr., and his sisters Hortence Trevino, Irene Becerra (Victor), Mary Saldana (Armando), Irma Henderson (Ted) and many nephews and nieces.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents George and Antonia Hermosillo and sisters Amparo Gonzales, Lupe Zamora and Herlinda Rodriguez.
A visitation for Arthur will be held Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 2516 Navigation Blvd., Houston, TX 77003. A rosary service will occur Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 7:00 pm, 2516 Navigation Blvd., Houston, TX 77003. A Funeral Mass will occur Friday, October 27, 2023 at 11:30 am at Holy Name Catholic Church, 1920 Marion St., Houston, Texas 77009. A committal service will occur Friday, October 27, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.
Serving as pallbearers are Matthew Saldana, Fernando Saldana, Greg Gonzales, Ray Gonzales, Michael Zamora, Jesse Talamantez and Gilbert Trevino Jr..
