ASPASIA GLIGORI MARGETOUSAKIS, was born in Athens, Greece on May 23, 1953 to Theodosis and Marieta Gligoris. Her beautiful life on earth ended September 2, 2018, at the age of 65, after her short battle to cervical cancer. Aspasia was a generous soul and was notoriously known for her delightful Greek cooking and scrumptious baking. She was preceded in death by her husband Theodore Margetousakis. She is survived by her daughter, Eliza and husband Grigori Kastafadou; her son, Yianni Margetusakis; her son, Sakis Margetusakis; her son Mario Margetusakis and wife Claudia; her brother, Georgios Gligoris and wife Katina; and niece and nephew, Marieta and Sakis Gligoris; her grandchildren, Kanela Katsafadou, Michali Katsafadou, Theodora Katsafadou, and Mia Margetusakis.
Mrs. Margetousakis will lie in state at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home Chapel, in Houston, where visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 5th, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Annunciation Orthodox Clergy will conduct a Trisagion at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 6th at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Basil The Great Greek Orthodox Church, 1100 Eldridge Parkway. Interment will follow, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Houston.
