Audrey Elise Bremer was born on June 1, 2018. She barely waited until we made it to the hospital and came into this world vibrant and hungry! She has long arms and giant hands. She is the chunkiest most squishy baby of my three. She was immediately adored and treasured by her two older brothers, Hurston and Seth. Hurston loves to tuck her in with a blanket if she looks cold and hold her hand when we are out running errands together. Seth loves to lay his head on her tummy in a hug. They take turns holding her with mommy’s support. She is and has been her father’s mini me since she arrived. Her daddy loves to bite her chunky thighs, in the most delicate way. She gives the world’s best slobber kisses, precisely and bobbly leaning in until she hits her target. She brings constant laughter from her silly raspberry noises. She is the best of army crawlers and occasionally decides to use her knees for help. She scoots towards you and proudly looks up arching her back and grinning ear to ear when she arrives.
Every morning when she wakes up she coos to herself happily until I come get her and the moment we make eye contact she jumps to attention with her precious ear to ear grin. We treasure our morning snuggles. She is content and easy going and happy and loves to explore. She is cuddly and independent. She brings joy to those around her. She does not meet a stranger. From the moment she came in to our lives, she has blessed us every day. There is not a time that goes by that she has not touched the lives of those that met her.
Her life, while short, will not be forgotten. God has a bigger purpose and her legacy will live on. She is the sharpest of arrows from our quiver. Psalm 127:3-5 “Children are a heritage from the Lord. Offspring a reward from Him. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them.” God is using her to pierce souls for His glory. She is a testament to how profoundly precious life is. At every stage. John 12:24 says “I assure you, most solemnly, I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains by itself alone. But if it dies, it produces many others and yields a rich harvest.”
God has shown us how vast and great and deep is His love for us. He has coordinated and poured out his love through the arms and feet of the church. Our mind and our heart must be in accord with God’s love and purpose.
Audrey went from her Daddy’s embrace on earth to her Daddy’s embrace in heaven on February 12 2019.
