Aurora Berbel Garcia

Aurora was a devoted housewife whose greatest passion in life was her family. She was a loving and caring daughter, and an amazing, wonderful, and devoted mother to her children. She extended that same love to her family and all who knew her, and they were truly blessed by her presence. Aurora was a woman of many hats and will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.

Aurora was preceded in death by her mother, Dolores Perez; her father, Antonio Berbel; her brother, Andrew Berbel; her sisters, Louisa Figueroa, Dolores Perez, and Rosemary Perez; and her grandson, Baby Johnny Melchor.

She is survived by her brother, John Berbel; her sister, Rachel Andrada; her children, Linda and Roy Reyna, Nora and Rene Martinez, Charlotte and Fred Lerma, Manuel and Lupita Garcia; 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren, and with one more on the way.

Serving as pallbearers are David Tumbarello, Michael Melchor, Steven Reyna, Rudy DeLeon, Manuel Garcia, and Rene Martinez.

A visitation will be held at Brookside Funeral Home, Grand Oak Chapel, located at 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas, 77039, on January 19, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A rosary will also take place at the same location on January 19, 2026, at 7:00 pm.

The funeral service is scheduled for January 20, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX, 77039. Following the funeral service, a committal service will be held at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX, 77039, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am.
