Austin McPhie

Austin McPhie, 35, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 30, 2023. Austin was born and raised in Houston by his two moms, Kathy McPhie and Irma Rodriguez, who adored him.

He was a smart, funny and very curious young man. He had many interests. He loved music, sports, and playing poker. He was always rooting for the underdog and wishing our world was a kinder, gentler place. He loved his Houston Texans and would watch them win or lose. He defended them till the end knowing they would lose, but always remaining optimistic that he would someday watch his team win a Superbowl. He also had a passion for playing poker and was a pretty good player.

Austin lived life to the fullest and was always more concerned about his family and friends. Heaven gained a beautiful angel. He would want us to be happy not sad so we will remember his loving spirit and big heart.

A visitation will be held for Austin on Monday, September 11, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. at the Advantage Funeral Home Chapel, 7010 Chetwood Dr. Houston, Texas 77081.
