

Ava Lea Bentley Moody Gray, born to Mr. & Mrs. O.K. Bentley on the 8th of July 1914 in Bryson, Texas, passed away Monday, the 11th of April 2016 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina at 101 years of age in her home surrounded by loved ones.
Ava was an active member of Memorial Drive United Methodist Church where she served in the Bridgebuilders Sunday School Class, the United Methodist Women, the N.O.A.H. Choir, and as an Usher. She was a past President and Charter member of Tanglewood Garden Club. Ava Lea was also a member of: Houston Board of Realtors, The Assistance League of Houston, a Bible Study, and the God Guided Group. She was an active member of Christ Church of Winston-Salem in her later years. Ava Lea was a successful Real Estate agent for more than 37 years.
She was devoted to The Lord, her family, friends, and her church. Her wonderful persona and beautiful smile will be greatly missed. She loved life and was a true giver.
Ava was predeceased by her husband Lee Moody and her husband Howard Gray. She is survived by her daughter Michelle Moody Reed (Jim), step-daughter Geneen Lannom (Robert), step-son Robert Moody (Bobbie), step-daughter in-law Mickey Moody, and their families.
The memorial service will be conducted at one o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 23rd of April, at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church, 12955 Memorial Drive in Houston.
Prior to the service, the family will have gathered for a private interment at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston.
