B. Ray Carriere of Houston, Texas passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at the age of 95. He was born on June 24, 1930 in Opelousas, Louisiana where he grew up hunting, fishing, working the fields with his brothers and sisters and helping his father build rent houses.
He worked as a delivery truck driver for Falstaff Brewing company, a pigs feet packing plant cook and packer for his sister and brother-in-law, Bessie and Paul Turner and finally as a dump truck driver.
B. Ray was an avid hunter of Deer, Geese, Ducks.
He is preceded in death by his Father and Mother, Amos and Bessie Carriere,19 brothers and sisters and their spouses, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins and a baby son John Mitchell Carriere.
B. Ray is survived by his loving wife Georgia, their children Robert, Donald & Alan & Alan’s wife Vickey and their half brother Michael Davis, 4 grandchildren and their spouses Julie Carriere, Laura & Terrell Allison, Rebekah Carriere & Cody Soper, Kristofer Carriere and 4 great grandchildren Trae Allison, Kayelee Allison, Kimber Allison and Noah Allison and his sister Dorothy (Dot) Nix and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service and reception at Chappel of Eternal Peace at Forest Park Wednesday at 12:00PM. Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 AM.
The visitation, service and reception will be held at Chapel of Eternal Peace at Forest Park at 2454 S. Dairy Ashford Houston, TX.
