Bahram Farangi, 58, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on January 24, 2026, surrounded by his family. To all who knew him, Bahram was the most positive person in any room—a man whose radiant smile and unwavering optimism were a constant gift to those around him, regardless of the circumstances. Even as his physical strength began to fade, his spirit remained undimmed, serving as a beacon of hope and resilience for his friends and family.
Bahram was born on November 14, 1967, in Abadan, Iran, to Ali Asgar Farangi and Sogra Karimi. His journey eventually led him to Houston, Texas, where he met the love of his life, Mahnaz. Together, they built a beautiful life and a home centered on raising their two sons, Arvin and Ryeen.
Bahram was happiest outdoors, particularly along the trails of Terry Hershey Park and Buffalo Bayou. He was almost always accompanied on these walks by Mahnaz; together, they covered countless miles of scenic paths, finding peace and clarity in the quiet beauty of nature.
In a final tribute to the landscape that he loved so dearly, Bahram will be laid to rest at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston, Texas. The cemetery’s creek, which flows directly into Buffalo Bayou, and its proximity to Terry Hershey Park, ensure that he will forever remain connected to the waters and trails that brought him so much joy.
Bahram is survived by his devoted wife, Mahnaz, and his two sons, Arvin and Ryeen, whom he loved beyond measure, as well as his mother and siblings.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bahram’s memory to any cancer-fighting organization of your choice.
