Balaji was born in India on July 21, 1970 to Amrita and Ambi Soundararajan. He moved to the United States in 1995.
For several years, Balaji worked for CISCO in California as a Computer Engineer. Balaji enjoyed his work as he found it intellectually stimulating. He recently earned an MBA at University of Santa Clara.
Deeply spiritual, Balaji enjoyed listening to Velukudi’s lectures and learning Divayprabandam. He was a loving father and found joy in spending time with his family. He enjoyed the little things in life like playing with his children, taking walks with his wife and talking with his friends.
Balaji will be especially remembered for his sense of humor. Even while battling cancer, he often made jokes and stayed upbeat and positive. Even as the cancer ravaged his brain, he never once complained and underwent treatment with determination and courage.
Balaji is survived by his parents Amritha and Ambi Soundararajan, sister Sujatha, wife Lakshmi and his children Archana and Rishab.
A private service will be held at 11 am on Friday, Jan 2 at Garden Oaks Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
