Barbara Ann Ary

Barbara "Bobbie" LaLande Ary passed away on May 5, 2025. She was born in Lafayette, La, to Elix LaLande and Helen Viator LaLande on July 22, 1944. She graduated from Mirabeau Lamar HS in 1963 and worked for the iconic Suzanne's Cafeteria, on Alabama, in River Oaks, as a hostess. She enjoyed the beautiful costumes they wore for various occasions. After that, she worked for Southwestern Bell, in the Heights, as an operator and spent the next 30 years in the answering service business. She retired from ADP in 2008. She had one daughter in 1967 with Bruce Burkhardt and on October 25, 1975, she married Billy Don Ary, from Fort Worth, Tx. They did not have any kids together, but had a blended family of eight children.

She is survived by her siblings, Gerald LaLande, Ronnie LaLande, and wife Sandra, Larry LaLande, "TLynn" LaLande Soderberg, and husband AAron, and Susie LaLande Maddox and husband, Mark. She is also survived by her daughter, Kimberley (Kimmie) Burkhardt Heinze, husband Larry, and grandchildren Cody Heinze and wife Nikki, Tyler Heinze and Fiance, Kara Schneider, and Samantha Heinze and significant other, Joel Deleon. Bonus children JoLynn Alvarez and husband, Joe, Dawn (Sissy) Beavers and husband David, Angelisa (DeeDee) McNeil and husband, Jeff, Melissa (Missy) Holt and husband, Don, Billy (Michael) Ary and wife, Melody. She is also survived by 34 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, that she loved dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Elix LaLande and Helen Viator DeWitt, Kimberley's Dad, Bruce Burkhardt, her husband Billy Don Ary, her brother in law, Bobby Jack Bailey, her daughter Vicky Lynn Patton, her daughter Marcy Coonrandt, her grandson Aaron Coonrandt, her granddaughter, Samantha Ary, great granddaughter Heaven Coonrandt.

The family would like to thank Ivy, Katrina and Katie, with Vitas Hospice and a special thanks to Caleb, Megan, Michelle, and Richard at Eagle Crest for the love and compassion you showed Mom. We truly appreciate you all.

A funeral service will occur Monday, May 19, 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A committal service will occur Monday, May 19, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038. A visitation will occur Monday, May 19, 2025 from 10:45 AM to 12:30 PM, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038.
