Barbara Sue Griffin-Brajkovic of Humble, Texas entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 13, 2017. She was born December 11, 1944 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to parents James Paul Judge and Lottie Juanita Andrews. As the first granddaughter born in the Judge family, she was taken back to her Irish Grandmother Judge’s home, where her parents lived at the time.
In 1956, she and her family moved to Wenonah, New Jersey. This would become what Sue would call her hometown. It was a wonderful place with some of the fondest memories of her childhood. Later, the family would move to Oklahoma and then end up in Houston in 1965. She spent the majority of her years in Houston creating a name for herself in real estate where she made countless friends. Sue is preceded in death by her parents James Paul Judge and Lottie Juanita Andrews, brother James Paul Judge II, and daughter Anita Jo. She is survived by James R Griffin and Zee Brajkovic, sisters Juanita Ann Moreau, Carol Jean Lower, and Joann Judge Davis, daughter Paula Jean Griffin, son and daughter-in-law James Todd and Maura Griffin and possibly one of the most special persons in her life, her grandson, James Zachary Griffin. She will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
After their parents death and her being the oldest, she helped her brother and three sisters to keep the family together and continue on as their parents would have wanted. Sue was always lucky to have the love of family and friends. She loved to travel and have fun. Sue was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend that will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 1:00pm in the Grand Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home followed by a burial in Brookside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent in her name to the Paralyzed Veterans of America or the Star of Hope Mission. These were the last two charities to which Sue felt the closest.
