On December 29,1952 Barbara Lynn Hampton was born to the late Henry Hampton and Lillian Hampton-Drummer. She was the only girl out of seven boys they called her Sister.
Barbara grew up in the Acres Homes area and attended the Aldine School District. She dedicated her life to taking care and providing for her three kids. She worked as a Certified Nurses Aid for several years and worked 20 years for AISD as a Custodian. Barbara worked another 10 years after retiring to take care of her Mother as a Healthcare Provider. She accepted Christ and attended the St. John Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Johnny Fortune.
Barbara was a beautiful loving person who enjoyed life and family and she will be greatly missed. We thank God for placing her in our lives. She is preceded in death by her parents Henry Hampton, Lillian Hampton-Drummer, Brothers: Keith, Wayne and Willie Hampton; Great Grandson Zion Roberson.
Barbara leaves to cherish her memories her children John Hampton (Chrishanda), Dofenia Eaton (Johnny) and Gregory Hampton. Her brothers Melvin Green and Alvin Sr. Green (Gail), Twin brother Michael Hampton, Harold Hampton (Lenore). Four grandchildren: Krissandra, Kiara, Tristian and Carter. Eight great grandchildren: Anthony, Dennis Jr, Deontae, DeAndre, Jashon, Kaitlynn, Kristian and Kamron. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A visitation for Barbara will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Paradise Funeral Home, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. A funeral service will occur Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. A committal service will occur Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM at Paradise Cemetery North, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088.
